DEDI GETS THE 'HARMONY AWARD' FROM THE MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS
The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia Sunday (26/2) bestow the Harmony Award 2016 to the 10 heads of regions. The awards were presented by the Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin in National Working Meeting 2017 at Krakatau Hotel Mercure Balroom, Ancol, Jakarta.
The three aspects are the support of the local government to service of all religions, the work of local government programs related to the servicing of all Faiths, and Efforts to maintain inter-religious harmony in each region.
The assessment Carried out by the Office of Religious Affairs in the respective regions. The ten regions has the highest score than other regions in Indonesia.
Even known, Purwakarta is the only one region in West Java who received the award. In fact, the West Java province became the area with the highest level of intolerance in Indonesia version Setara Institute.
"This is our appreciation to the areas that contribute to build the pluralism, in order to create inter-religious harmony in Indonesia," said the son of the Nahdlatul Ulama figure, Saifuddin Zuhri.
Furthermore the Minister Lukman also ask for other regions in Indonesia makes the region that receiving this award as a reference in building religious harmony and tolerance in the region. "In particular I would like to order for this to be an example for other regions in order to build the harmony and tolerance in their respective areas," he added. One of the recipients of this prestigious award, Purwakarta's Regent Dedi Mulyadi shared his experiences while rolling the related program tolerances in Purwakarta.

The province of Central Kalimantan, Papua and Riau Islands declared has the highest score of the provinces in Indonesia that deserve the award.
