KIAI MA'RUF : "TEACHING YELLOW BOOK IN PURWAKARTA SHOULD BE REGISTERED BY GOLD INK"

 

 

The chairman of MUI and the Leader of Nahdlatul Ulama, Kiai Ma'ruf Amin Thursday (23/2) attended and gave a speech in the launching ceremony of the program insight al Qur'an and Yellow Book for students in Bale Maya Datar Purwakarta.

 

In his speech, the 14th generation of  Nawawi al Bantani said that this is the new program in West Java  even in Indonesia. so, it has to be applied in Indonesia.

"If students increase their intellectuals, it is common. But in Purwakarta not also increasing the intellectuals aspect but also religious aspect. Well, I think this is should be registered by gold ink." said Ma'ruf Kiai".

 

Kiai Ma'ruf said that the yellow book is the instrument to resist the fundamentalism and secularism which is develop massively currently. He said that, the contains of yellow book not only about the disciplines of jurisprudence, but also teach attitude to others, Affection and peace in everyday life. "Today we are facing the fundamentalism and secularism. If our children learn yellow book early, we can eliminate them.

 

After launching ceremony, Kiai Ma'ruf accompanied by Purwakarta's Regent Dedi Mulyadi visit to SMPN I Purwakarta and SDN I Nagri to see the yellow book teaching methodology that has been incorporated into the curriculum.  "Please study diligently, all the life sciences there is inside of  this book, be intellectual and religious, has a strong nationalism soul," said kiai Ma'ruf to the students.

 

Education pattern with boarding style has appreciated Purwakarta's Regent Dedi Mulyadi so he tries to apply the patterns in the education curriculum. "Yellow Book was the source of knowledge that is open, European nations adopted it and they managed to build the civilization of remarkable," said Dedi.  He said that the 1st grade to 5th grade of elementary school will focus on deepening of how to read the Qur'an.

Meanwhile, 6th grade until all classes in middle and high school will focus on reading and understanding the yellow book. (*)
